How Often Should You Have Sex? Start With Your Own Relationship
A number from a headline can make you question a relationship that felt fine yesterday. Frequency varies, and an average cannot tell you what is satisfying for two particular people. The more useful question is how each of you feels about your intimate life.
Ask about experience, not just counts
Do you feel connected, comfortable and free to express yourself? Are there unmet needs either person has been afraid to mention? More sex is not automatically better sex, and less sex does not automatically mean less love.
Talk if there is a difference
You do not need to pretend a mismatch is easy. Discuss what you both miss and what forms of closeness you welcome. Nobody has to meet a quota. If the difference causes ongoing distress, consider professional support.
