A Date Without Alcohol Can Still Feel Like a Date
Meeting for drinks is an easy default, but it is far from the only way to spend time together. You may want a clearer head, a different routine or simply a plan you enjoy more. You do not need a dramatic explanation.
Choose an activity with something to enjoy
Try coffee, a walk, a museum or a meal at a place you both like. A shared activity can give the conversation somewhere to go when nerves appear. Check that the plan suits each person's comfort and budget.
Say your preference simply
“I'd rather skip alcohol tonight” is enough. If the other person presses, you can repeat it without defending the choice. Attraction and connection do not need to be measured by how much you drink or how quickly the date becomes physical.
