Feeling Like Housemates Instead of Partners?
You run the home well together. The bills get paid, the shopping appears and the calendar stays full. Yet you miss the feeling that you are choosing each other, rather than just coordinating a household.
Notice where conversation has narrowed
Try asking something that has nothing to do with chores. What is on your partner's mind? What have they stopped making time for? Share something about yourself, too, even if it feels small or unfinished.
Create one moment that belongs to you
Have coffee together before the day starts or take a short walk after dinner. Pick something both of you actually enjoy. If one person is carrying most of the household work, talk about that as well; time together is harder to enjoy when resentment follows you into it.
