Different Sex Drives: How to Talk Without Blaming Each Other
One of you would like sex more often. The other is starting to dread the subject. Soon, even a small gesture can feel loaded. A difference in desire can be hard on both people, especially when each assumes the other already understands.
Describe your experience first
Try “I miss feeling wanted” or “I feel anxious when affection seems to come with an expectation.” Avoid deciding who has the correct sex drive. Ask what each of you needs to feel safe, cared for and free to be honest.
Find something you both welcome
You might agree on more affection, clearer ways to initiate or time together without a sexual goal. Nobody owes sex to keep the peace. If the difference keeps causing distress, couples or sex therapy can help you discuss it with support.
