Making Rest Something You Protect Together
One person goes to bed while the other finishes the chores, then both feel resentful. Rest can seem like a private choice when the workload is shared unevenly. Looking at the whole evening may reveal why neither of you feels connected.
Ask who gets to switch off
Compare responsibilities without assuming the visible tasks are the only ones. Planning, remembering and anticipating needs also take effort. Agree on a fairer way to finish or postpone what remains.
Let rest count as care
You can support each other's sleep without expecting a reward in the bedroom. More rest does not guarantee more desire, but exhaustion deserves attention in its own right. If tiredness continues despite enough opportunity to sleep, seek medical advice.
