Different Bedtimes Do Not Have to Mean Less Connection

FORTION JOURNAL · SLEEP AND REST

One of you is ready to sleep at ten; the other comes alive at midnight. You may start treating the difference as a choice against time together. It can help to separate the need for rest from the wish for closeness.

Plan before the tired point

Share some time earlier in the evening, or choose another part of the day for affection. Discuss noise, lights and morning routines so sleep is respected. Neither person should have to be exhausted to prove commitment.

Find a compromise you both like

Perhaps you spend a little time together before one person sleeps, without expecting both to stay in bed. If ongoing sleep difficulty drives the mismatch, seek appropriate advice. A shared relationship does not require identical body clocks.
