Desk Job, Long Day: Finding Small Chances to Move
You sit down for work, and suddenly it is evening. Your body feels stiff, yet a full workout seems far away. Small chances to move can be easier to use when you connect them to things already happening in your day.
Attach movement to a cue
Stand or move between tasks, take a short walk during a break or choose a comfortable stretch. Adjust the idea to your mobility and work setting. The aim is to interrupt long periods in the same position, not to create another source of guilt.
Make the plan practical
Keep comfortable shoes nearby or block a short break in your calendar. Movement breaks do not replace all other activity, but they can make a sedentary day feel less fixed. If pain persists, seek advice rather than stretching through it.
